Five Films For Freedom is a British Council global program in partnership with BFI Flare: London LGBTQIA+ Film Festival.

Marking a decade of advocacy and storytelling, Five Films For Freedom returns for its tenth year to showcase five compelling LGBTQIA+ themed short films from Spain, the UK, the Philippines, the USA, and India. These films will be available for the world to watch online for free from 13-24 March, coinciding with the 12 days of BFI Flare.

Through the support of our extensive network spanning over 100 countries, and in collaboration with our partner's channels, we encourage audiences to watch the films in solidarity with LGBTQIA+ communities, particularly in places where freedom and equal rights are limited, in recognition of the fact that Love is a Human Right.
