DONALD TRUMP ON GAY MARRIAGE, LGBT RIGHTS: ‘NO AND NO’
06 03 2011
Donald Trump, currently considering a possible run for the White House next year, told the Des Moines Register this week that gay couples should not be allowed to marry.
Trump, who is currently on his third marriage, clearly enjoys his own access to marriage rights and is content that the LGBT community be denied those same rights and privileges.
“They should not be able to marry,” he said.
But asked whether gay couples should be able access the same benefits as married couples, he said his “attitude on it has not been fully formed.”
Given a second to think, Trump said on marriage and civil benefits, “As of this moment, I would say no and no.”
